About

Ilian Gueorguiev began his career at TIMO as a software engineer and the creator of TRANSCAD for Apple II computers, which earned him the Golden Badge for Excellence in Youth Scientific & Technical Creativity in 1987. He then joined Software Product & System Corporation (SPS), where he developed the TRANS-EXPERT cargo planning software, awarded a GOLD MEDAL at EXPO-PLOVDIV in 1989 and named the BEST BULGARIAN SOFTWARE of 1990.



In 1991, Ilian was recognized as the BEST ENGINEER by the Federation of Scientific and Technical Alliances in Bulgaria. With over 38 years of experience in digital transformation and IT innovation in international transport, he helps organizations leverage digital technologies to enhance safety, inclusivity, efficiency, and environmental sustainability in mobility and transport, while promoting a more predictable and transparent business environment.



Before his well-deserved retirement on October 1, 2024, Ilian spent nearly 6 years as IT Software Manager at AEBTRI, Bulgaria's national guarantee association for the TIR system, and over 26 years as IT Senior Manager at IRU - THE WORLD ROAD TRANSPORT ORGANIZATION in Geneva, Switzerland, where he led the TIR Applications team. He managed IT projects, developed services and products, and oversaw support for key portals and systems (such as ASKTRweb, TIR Customs Portal TIRSide, and TIR-EPD) that drive innovation and digital transformation in the international road transport industry across 57 countries.

From April 2025 Ilian join Business Hand Sàrl as Freelance IT Director in order to assists businesses in choosing and implementing efficient software solutions for logistics.
